I’m rating 1 star simply because of the experience that I’ve had taking my 2018 Nissan Maxima to this tint shop. I found this place online like plenty of people have. Called for an appointment on a Thursday to take it in the next day. The owner answered, took my info and asked what time I wanted to bring it in, and said if he had anything for Early Friday morning. He says yes, bring it in at 9:30am. I was fine with that. I go for my appointment time and I’m 5 mins early. The owner isn’t there I think okay maybe he’ll be here for my appointment. Nope I’m waiting there until almost 9:50 and he finally shows up. We go in and he shows my everything explains everything and I choose the one I want. I leave my car there, he says it will take him about 3 hours to finish. So I have my dad pick me up and just wait for my car. The owner calls me and asks for me to pick up my car. He charges me 170 for the sides and back. I think that’s reasonable. So I check out my car...not thoroughly... and that’s my mistake... but just ask about the back window... and ask him about the way the dots looked at that time ... and he explains to me that once it dries and cures that it would look better. I take his word and drive off happy in my bad ass looking car. Well Saturday and Sunday come and I didn’t drive my car I took my other one out for the weekend but on Sunday night my boyfriend noticed the passenger side mirror had damage to it! They had burned and melted it where the door and mirror connect. I didn’t call him on Monday because it was MLK day and figured they’d be closed. So when I finally make the call and explained everything he took fault for it and said he would fix it. So when I take it him to see how it’s going to get fixed. He made it seem that he openly burned they pain and would just need to sand it down re paint it ... mind you this is a plastic part... so that doesn’t make any sense. The part where the mirror connects is pretty thin so if he sands it down it would make more of a dent than what the burning had already caused and just look weird. I would forever notice that it looks different and just didn’t feel that it was right to do that. I feel like He would need to replace the whole thing. I took it to my Nissan dealership and asked them if they would be able to fix it. They advise me no, this part needs to be replaced. It’s plastic and it could crack they way he wants to do it. So I go back today, Friday, which is my day off, and tell him no, I don’t want it sanded down. I want the whole part replaced. He explains no, that he is going to try it his way first , because “that’s his right” and if it looks bad, then he’ll replace it. I’m frustrated because this is waste of my time going back and forth. So I’m just about to take him to small claims. I’m done with his cheap way out. As for the actual tint. I mean it’s alright... it’s just tint. I guess I could come back in a few months and give another rating to let everyone know how it’s holding up... but my advice to everyone is just check his work! Check if he burnt anything. The man needs to learn how to use heat guards or heat shields.... I’ll be posting pictures on yelp of the damage...
